About time I

updated this!! SO much been going on!
Alice, my eldest, finished preschool and promptly developed a sky high temperature. Fearing the dreaded pig flu I spent an anxious day dosing her up on Calpol etc. Luckily she was back to her crazy self the next day.
Had a stall at a local Summer Fair last Sunday and made £100 which is fab as am going away with boyf this weekend to the English Heritage Fesitval of History. Not seen him for 3 weeks as he's been working overtime - will have forgotten what he looks like LOL!!!
Made 2 sales off my MISI shop :D , my pirate charm bracelet and a scissor keep. Good to get some postive feedback for my work.
Got to go and take baby for her MMR so need to get ready to go out in the rain (WTF??? Isn't it meant to be summer???)

I got an award!!!!

Many thanks to Kat for nominating me for this award!!

I must pass this award on as the rules say - comment on this blog; cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog; nominate 5 to 10 blogs you feel show great attitude and gratitude; link to your nominees within your blog post; comment on their blogs to let them know they received the award; link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation.

Just thought I would post some pics of my recent additions!
I loved making the Carnelian set which is the top 3 photos. The stones are such fantastic colours!!! I'm seriously tempted to keep it for myself :)
The aqua cuff bangle was an order resulting from a local church fair. Since I put a photo on Facebook I've had requests for them in all kinds of colours!
The bottom photo is a long necklace I have just made from Black Onyx and Amazonite. The green stones are a bit cooler green than Malachite and I think they look fab against the glossy black of the onyx nuggets.

Current projects include a matching set for a wedding........a pirate themed wedding!!!! Lots of pearls and black faceted beads, and I've found some fab Tibetan silver charms off Ebay - shells, keys, puffed hearts, skulls and skull & crossbones.

Well I've not done much recently as been in a ridiculous amount of pain due to an abcessed molar - nice, I know!! Anyway...its out now - the most stubborn tooth the dentist had seen in years apparently!!
So its back to the creating - made a matching set in Rose Quartz to be a raffle prize for Lancaster and District Guide Association Dinner tonight so hopefully get a bit of advertising through there.
Also listed some new items on my Etsy shop www.fairyqueensjewels.etsy.com
This new amethyst necklace is listed at 20$ but if you put "BLOG" or "TWITTER" or "FACEBOOK" into yours sales message I will refund you 10% through Paypal. Remember its FREE SHIPPING on every item :)
Got lots of orders to be getting on with too - 1 day I'll get my stitching done!!!
Thanks to everyone for the support so far

Tiger Tiger Burning Bright............

This is my newest creation, made last night. I used semi precious Tiger Eye beads and chips and an ace pendant. Also used Bali silver decorative beads and Tibetan silver bead caps/spacers. I think it looks pretty cool and has had some lovely feedback from my Twitter jewellery friends. You can find it on my Etsy shop here http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=26290505 and it has free worldwide shipping.
According to a quick online search, Tiger Eye is meant to offer courage, energy and luck. It is traditionally given as a gift for a 9th wedding anniversary and historically Roman soldiers wore it for its all-seeing powers! It is said to relieve high blood pressure, and to help bronchial and kidney problems, athsma and psoriasis.
I really enjoyed creating this and hope it gets bought by a fantastic person :)
update 18/06 it did get bought by a fab person, and I have another on order!!

"Spring Daisy" - this was a commission piece for a friend. She loved the earrings and wanted a full set making, which I was only too happy to do!! First time I've done the dangles on the necklace but I think it's worked pretty well!!
I'm offering free shipping worldwide at my Etsy store!!! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7417511
This is my current favourite! It's called "Turquoise Treasures" and is £18 for the lot inc postage. Made with 8mm Turquoise Beads, 8mm Glass Pearls and 8mm Tibetan Silver Decoarative Beads. The focal Turquoise Bead is 35mm x 25mm.
I love Turquoise and it seems to be very popular at the moment, its everywhere in the shops and I reckon this set would be a fantastic addition to your summer wardrobe :)

My new blog!

Oh Crikey! I'm not the most technically minded of people so who knows how long it will take to get this looking like something decent!! Will have some experiments and see what happens!
